My Alpine summer based from Chamonix is over for another year. This summer seemed to have gone so quickly. What's that old saying, 'Time flies when you are having fun'! It has been a fabulous summer for weather out in there. Of the 50 or so  days of guiding on the Tour of Mont Blanc and The Walkers Haute Route I only got rained on about 6 HOURS (not days)! The rest of the days I was walking in hot sun and blue skies for the majority of the time. Thanks to all the wonderful folk I guided up an down cols this year, so much fun and a pleasure to be around people form a wide variety of backgrounds and countries. Back home and the next big adventure is the Patagonian Icecap Expedition I am co-guiding on with Richard Hartley of Spanish Highs. Can't wait for this, a special place on Earth. That will bring me into mid December and start of the Scottish Winter. Check out my  website for details and dates of this years courses. In the meantime enjoy what is left of the summer!
