Coire an t-Sneachda looking more like winter

Welcome back Mr. Rime on Cairn Gorm
For much of today it snowed down to around 700m. The wind blew strong, the wind slab was building nicely, the mountains are white. Welcome back winter again! It really felt like a good winter day today. Lee was really keen to see how an overnight snow shelter is constructed so we dug a fab wee den within 40 minutes, from scratch. We dinned in comfort at lunchtime out of the spindrift and high winds. After lunch Lee was out in front getting to grips with navigating in testing winter conditions. We made our way up to 1141m and the Fiacaill Coire Cas ridge was a wee bit blustery. Wind slab forming quickly today. Finished our day on Cairn Gorm summit and headed down a windy Windy Ridge. A great couple of days with Lee and Kev, great fun and they got the full winter experience with many vital and essential skills.
