Northern Corries
Strong winds and very low temperatures once again on the high Cairngorms. From Aviemore you always get a good indication of how strong the winds are going to be by the bubble of cloud that seems to just sit on the plateau. Today was another day of blue skies and sun over Strathspey. So a day in the sunshine for a change. Meall a' Bhuachaille is a great view point of the Northern Cairngorms, right across to Braeriach and The Sgorans. The snowline on the hill was around 600m and no big wading, unlike the big hills opposite. Wonderful clouds spilling over the plateau, whilst I basked in sun all day. There was a chopper buzzing about around the summit area, not sure if there was a rescue going on. Once again the North West Highlands were bathed in sunshine today. Staying cold and dry next few days.Think I'll pack the sunglasses for tomorrow :)
