Alpine Rock Jasmin
Probably the finest day of the Haute Route has to be the section from Mont Fort Refuge to Cabane Prafleuri. This high route traverses 3 cols and with stunning mountain terrain. From the start there are stunning views of the Grand Combin along the Sentier de Chamois, a narrow path that traverses the mountainside. Of course it's called the Sentier chamois because you are guaranteed to see these beautiful mountain mamals, just like we did today. A glorious, sunny day and hot at times but cooler high up. Brilliant day and our overnight at the Cabane Prafleuri. |
